MANIDASO prepares initial platform launch
MANIDASO is preparing the first operational phase of its trade governance platform, with initial implementation focused on trade between the United Kingdom and Ghana.
The platform is being developed to provide a more structured environment for trade activity involving buyers, suppliers, products, payments and the movement of goods.
Rather than operating solely as a marketplace that introduces parties, MANIDASO is designed to establish defined conditions through which a proposed trade may be reviewed, approved, progressed and recorded.
The initial operating model
The first implementation phase will bring together five connected parts of the MANIDASO system:
Mart
Mart provides the structured entry point for products, listings, buyer requirements and available trade routes.
A listing on MANIDASO does not by itself represent approval, endorsement or authority to proceed. Products and participants remain subject to the applicable review and verification requirements.
Verify
Verify supports checks relating to participating parties, organisations, products, documents, payment conditions and proposed shipment activity.
The nature and depth of verification may vary according to the trade, route, product category, transaction value and identified risk.
Pay
Pay defines how payment conditions are recorded before funds are expected to progress.
During the initial phase, payment services may be provided through appropriately authorised external providers. MANIDASO does not represent itself as a bank, deposit-taking institution or independent escrow provider.
Move
Move records the planned and completed stages through which goods pass from availability to collection, handling, transit, arrival and delivery.
The purpose is to improve visibility over responsibility and custody when goods change hands.
Trust File
The Trust File provides the central record associated with each governed trade.
It is designed to connect the participating parties, verification records, agreed conditions, documents, payment events, movement checkpoints and final outcome under a single trade reference.
Initial corridor
The United Kingdom–Ghana route has been selected as the first environment in which the MANIDASO operating model will be tested and progressively implemented.
The initial work is expected to focus on defined product categories and controlled trade cases rather than unrestricted marketplace participation.
This approach will allow MANIDASO to test its standards, identify operational weaknesses and strengthen the system before broader expansion.
What the initial launch does not mean
The initial launch should not be interpreted as confirmation that every listed product, participant, payment method or route is immediately available.
Participation will remain subject to review. Certain services may be introduced in stages, restricted to selected cases or delivered through approved third-party providers.
Any trade presented as operating under MANIDASO should carry an identifiable MANIDASO reference and be capable of verification through an official MANIDASO channel.
Building the public platform record
MANIDASO will use its News & Press publication record to communicate material platform developments, governance standards, route updates and security notices.
Where a publication is revised, the article will retain its original publication date and display an appropriate last-updated date and version record.
The initial launch represents the beginning of operational testing and controlled implementation—not the completion of the MANIDASO system.
